Some of our favourite local attractions and venues include:

  • Mwldan - Cardigan's quality independent arts and entertainment complex with 3 screen cinema.

  • Welsh Wildlife Centre - An excellent visitors' centre, Glasshouse Cafe, based in the Teifi Marsh Nature Reserve.

  • Cardigan Castle - Opened in 2015 after a 12 year restoration project. There is 900 years of history and an excellent restaurant to boot! 

  • Rhosygilwen Mansion - Music, arts & cultural events, in a state-of-the-art concert hall & summer open air concerts in the grounds.

Haverford West Town Food Festival, with artisan food & drink stalls from a huge variety of local Pembrokeshire producers! There will be musicians playing in a few central locations throughout the town to create atmosphere and entertainment through a wonderful blend of local acoustic musicians.

‘Louder Is Not Always Clearer’ is an honest performance, portraying the vulnerability of a deaf man, created and performed by a deaf man.

 

For a hearing audience it is an illuminating and emotional experience. For deaf audience members the show is a familiar tale of misunderstanding and isolation. For all audiences it is a humorous and at times moving story of one man’s attempt to cope, to fit in and be accepted.

Paul Hutchinson (accordion) and Paul Sartin (oboe, violin and vocals), “one of folk’s odd couples”, have for nearly 25 years wowed audiences around Europe, The States and Australia, with virtuoso musicianship tempered by wry humour. Performing at Rhosygilwen, Cilgerran.

 

With extravagant lifestyles to support, as well as a love of music, their candle looks set to burn for a good few decades more!

The Fishguard Folk Festival is a joyous and vibrant celebration of folk music, set against the backcloth of an historical and picturesque Pembrokeshire coastal town.

The St. Davids Cathedral Festival has been responsible for bringing classical music to the heart of Pembrokeshire, West Wales for over 38 years.

 

For ten days annually in May and June the Cathedral is host to a feast of classical and contemporary music concerts under the artistic direction of Oliver Waterer, the Organist and Master of the Choristers.

The opening night of Pembroke's Rock The Castle 2019 sees an incredible line-up of Status Quo, Bonnie Tyler and Dr Feelgood

Vocal legends Gabrielle and Sister Sledge will co-headline the second night of our Rock The Castle weekend on Saturday 22nd June 2019.  The iconic, all female, line-up is completed with support from exciting singer-songwriter, Jazz Morley.

22nd - 30th June

Full of family-friendly activities dotted all around the coast and waterways. Activities include cookery demonstrations with celebrity chefs, fishing and boat trips, children's workshops, fishing competitions, and much more.

There will be lots of opportunities to sample and buy locally caught fish and shellfish - caught from around the Pembrokeshire coast. According to Visit Britain’s tourism chiefs, Pembrokeshire Fish Week, held early July, is the UK’s best food festival.

23rd June - 1st July 2019

Cardigans Annual Welsh Language festival. A celebration of Welsh language, music and dance at Cardigan Castle! 

The Festival comes to an end on the Sunday with a morning service at 10am in Capel Mair followed by a Grand Concert on the Sunday evening in Cardigan Castle featuring Tra Bo Dau and Ar Ôl Tri.

Over the years, the Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival at Aberaeron has grown to be one of the highlights of the food calendar in Wales! 

 

Several thousand people are expected to flock to the quayside this summer to see and taste the best of local seafood, fish and other produce.

Ceredigion Art Trail runs for ten days in August when around 200 artists show their work in 70+ venues including artists own studios in the beautiful countryside of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire

2nd & 4th August 2019

The Edge festival sprang up as a direct response to the filming of Under Milk Wood in the village of Solva, Pembrokeshire in 2014, the magic and enthusiasm overwhelmed the village. So, a hardy bunch of locals sought to recreate this and suddenly the Edge was born!

 

The festival is a celebration of the arts, music, food, sports, literature and film - a festival for everyone!

Featuring show jumping, livestock, a food hall with the best of Pembrokeshire delicacies, a fairground, dog agility, over 500 stalls and stands, and even monster trucks, there's something here for the whole family!

The festival was established by a group of local fishermen in 1997 to show what fish was available locally and how fish could be prepared. It aimed at demystifying fish and shellfish and increase demand of such a quality local product. 

 

At the annual Ceredigion festival visitors get a chance to watch chefs prepare local fish and sample dishes that they can then attempt at home. Local lobster, crab, mackerel, mullet, sea bass and much more get cooked in different styles and cuisines.
