  • Mwldan - Cardigan's quality independent arts and entertainment complex with 3 screen cinema.

  • Welsh Wildlife Centre - An excellent visitors' centre, Glasshouse Cafe, based in the Teifi Marsh Nature Reserve.

  • Cardigan Castle - Opened in 2015 after a 12 year restoration project. There is 900 years of history and an excellent restaurant to boot! 

  • Rhosygilwen Mansion - Music, arts & cultural events, in a state-of-the-art concert hall & summer open air concerts in the grounds.

Seann has many acting credits including Comedy Central’s sitcom Big Bad World, the lead role in Monks (BBC One), Three Kinds of Stupid (Sky) and Jack Dee’s sitcom Bad Move (ITV). 

In this show, he tells us how he got here, from growing up in Brighton to gathering a slew of TV credits and glowing reviews, to becoming a tabloid villain. This fresh show mixes some of his best loved routines with new candid stories from the last ten years.

Barley Saturday is a unique event in Cardigan that has happened since the 19th Century. Barley Saturday saw farmers from surrounding area come to town to hire workers and to inspect stallions that are put out to stud. These days the horses are the centre of attention! 

 

After the 11.30am, judging of various horse competitors, the crowds gather to watch the horses do their parade around Cardigan town at approximately 2pm.

The St. Davids Cathedral Festival has been responsible for bringing classical music to the heart of Pembrokeshire, West Wales for over 38 years.

 

For ten days annually in May and June the Cathedral is host to a feast of classical and contemporary music concerts under the artistic direction of Oliver Waterer, the Organist and Master of the Choristers.

Italian duo Veronica Sbergia and Max De Bernardi play country blues and ragtime, hokum, jug band and rural music from the 20's and 30's. They like to keep this musical heritage alive, faithfully reproducing its original sound whilst giving it a modern twist.

Full of family-friendly activities dotted all around the coast and waterways. Activities include cookery demonstrations with celebrity chefs, fishing and boat trips, children's workshops, fishing competitions, and much more.

There will be lots of opportunities to sample and buy locally caught fish and shellfish - caught from around the Pembrokeshire coast. According to Visit Britain’s tourism chiefs, Pembrokeshire Fish Week, held early July, is the UK’s best food festival.

Stand up comedy in a brewery! Steffan Evans is back for our 2020 Stand Up Comedy Night – a huge event in the Cilgwyn calendar!

Alongside Drew Taylor, David Arnold and a very special headline act, Steffan will be bringing us the very best comedy from across Wales.

An evening, compered by the brilliant Steffan Evans, with three hugely talented comedians performing their hilarious sets live on the Brewery stage.

For two weeks every summer, Fishguard and West Wales International Music Festival brings world-class musicians to venues across the region, from Rhosygilwen in the east to St Davids in the west and Haverfordwest in the south.

 

The Festival celebrates music of a wide variety of styles from early music through the orchestral and chamber repertoires of the 19th and 20th centuries to the very best in jazz, folk and world music.

Find out about country skills such as sheep dog shows, falconry display, show jumping and get to taste local farm produce set in beautiful Cardigan.

Featuring show jumping, livestock, a food hall with the best of Pembrokeshire delicacies, a fairground, dog agility, over 500 stalls and stands, and even monster trucks, there's something here for the whole family!

22nd August 2020

The festival was established by a group of local fishermen in 1997 to show what fish was available locally and how fish could be prepared. It aimed at demystifying fish and shellfish and increase demand of such a quality local product. 

 

At the annual Ceredigion festival visitors get a chance to watch chefs prepare local fish and sample dishes that they can then attempt at home. Local lobster, crab, mackerel, mullet, sea bass and much more get cooked in different styles and cuisines.

Aberjazz is a popular event in the Pembrokeshire music scene and culminates in the Fishguard Jazz and Blues Festival in August!

Established within the ‘hotbed’ of the North East music scene in the UK, The Revolutionaires power out jumpin’ hot rhythm & blues in their own indomitable hard hitting style.

Over the last two decades, The Revolutionaires have established themselves on the UK and European Rockin’ circuit, as well as the Blues scene.

They have toured extensively both in the UK and abroad, performing at festivals in Ireland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Malta and Dubai.
