Personally, I love this in-between week. Christmas has been, and the New Year is days away from arrival.
At work, it’s a time to look after others and help them enjoy the festive celebrations. If you work in an office, it's the week you get yourself organised for the year ahead . At home, it’s a time to reflect on the year and what it brought and be inspired on want you want from the coming Year.
“Hold on, hold on" I hear you say! – "that all very well, but have you had a look around? The world has gone totally loon ball and the love of humanity has hardly been the theme of the Year!”
Or in the words of Dizzee Rascal, its all gone “Bonkers!”
It can be hard to keep motivated and positive when there are large global events impacting our lives and the environment we live in, which we can't control. It can make you feel like why should you even bother?!
What I can do and focus on is to make those changes that matter to me, make a difference in my life and those around me and try to create things I can be proud of.
Things such as having more quality time for friendships and family.
