Top of the Woods offers our guests freedom and space to connect with nature and their tribe.
The Dutch Barn
Since we moved here we wanted to bring this 19th-century dairy farm back to life so nature and wildlife could thrive and our guests could benefit from this special place.

The social hub of the campsite is the Dutch Barn, where we dish up all our delicious food. The venue is a fantastic space for group gatherings, weddings, life celebrations, creative workshops, storytelling, music and more. Guests love relaxing here in the hammock garden too.
Once upon a time, the vast arches of the 1950s Dutch Barn would have stored hay bales, but now it gives cover to glamping and camping guests!

The Courtyard
The 1800s Welsh farmhouse is situated around a central courtyard, where our camping and glamping guests first arrive to check in at reception.
The courtyard was in a sorry state when we moved in, but we’ve wrestled it back into shape. This included designing and making many of the campsite facilities for our guests: new camping toilets, wet room showers, a campsite washup area, a communal campfire upcycled with a tractor wheel, and a new woodland garden.

Carthouse and Stables
What a transformation the cart-house and stables have undergone. From a roofless shell, it’s been lovingly renovated into Soo’s shed - a multi-use guest space. There’s something for everyone, from table football to arts ‘n crafts, from yoga to live music.

Camping and Glamping Accomodation
Over the years, we’ve introduced glamping options to allow more guests to benefit from the great outdoors - in eco luxury. Choose from stylish Safari Lodges, unique Pioneer Camps, and cosy Nature Domes - which all come with amazing views as standard. With a sustainable approach, much of the high-quality glamping furniture is built on-site with local wood by local craftsmen.

Green Spaces
Top of the Woods has space, lots of space, for guests to roam - 27 acres (that’s 11 football pitches!) 90% of the land is given to nature allowing guests to enjoy the great outdoors and run free in the vast wildflower meadows.
It’s not only about protecting our green spaces, but encouraging nature and wildlife to flourish. We’ve created a bee-loving willow garden for relaxation and play, and planted a new woodland with over 3,500 native trees (and counting). Our guests can enjoy the benefits of nature now, knowing that it will be here for future generations. 💚

Event Barn
The Event Barn hosted our own wedding feast when we gathered friends and family together to celebrate at Top of the Woods. The barn transforms into a magical place for relaxed and rustic weddings and celebratory meals seating up to 80 people.
This multi-tasking spacious area offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a range of activities, including film nights, drumming workshops, or yoga. We also welcome company and team getaways and well-being retreats - perfect for when you want to brainstorm ideas or develop your team in an original setting. The Event Barn can then be used as a breakout room or office away from the office - and nearer nature!
