The best camping mornings begin with sunrise spilling over the meadow, a simple hot breakfast, and the quiet luxury of being in nature with your favourite people, ready to plan your days adventure. As dusk settles, come together around your campfire to cook, talk, play and to watch the stars and bats dance overhead . A gently wild, off-grid Welsh escape made for easygoing adventurers.
Our eco-luxury Pioneer Lodges are unique, handcrafted on-site, and designed for a comfortable off-grid glamping stay, that sits in a five-acre meadow with wide, open views across ancient woodland and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Each lodge has proper beds with luxury feather bedding and the beds ready made for your arrival. They include a sheltered self-catering kitchen and a firepit/BBQ area with cast-iron cookware provided, placing slow campfire cooking at the heart of every Pioneer holiday.
A short wander through the meadow leads to two off-grid luxury outdoor shower cabins and compost loos. Simple, thoughtful comforts that keep you close to nature.

I never write reviews, but this place is so amazing I just had to. This is the campsite I’ve been looking for. It’s wild without skimping on the comforts. It’s small enough for kids to run feral without being too intimate. The owners are lovely and make you feel at home immediately, and everyone is just so chilled and friendly. We will be back every year!

How many people can a Pioneer Camp sleep?
Each Pioneer Camp sleeps up to 4 people, making it perfect for small families, couples looking for a nature escape, or friends wanting an easy outdoor adventure. The meadow is car-free and peaceful, with plenty of space for kids to play and adults to unwind.
Do the Pioneer Camps have electricity, lighting or charging points?
They’re designed as low-impact, off-grid glamping tents. You’ll have solar lighting inside and outside the tent, but no mains electricity or plug sockets. If you need to charge your phone or power bank, there are charging points in the communal areas for you to use.
How far are the closest toilets and showers from the Pioneer Camps
You’ll find two compost loos and two off-grid hot shower cabins right in the Pioneer meadow, just a short wander from your lodge. If you prefer, the main toilet and shower block is only a few minutes’ walk away in the courtyard, clean, spacious, and easy to get to.
