TanyaAbsolute heaven! Top of the Woods was perfect for our large gathering, we had everything we needed, communal areas were clean and well stocked, there were plenty of options for campers or glampers. I would absolutely recommend for taking kids too as we felt able to let them do their own thing. A beautiful place with lovely hosts. | GemmaThe perfect effortless getaway! Myself and my boyfriend decided we wanted to go camping, as 'glampers.' Top of the Woods was incredible. The views were outstanding, Wales is a true Gem, and hospitality was incredible... | RichardCamped in the beautiful meadow! Enjoyed the peace and quiet..... Camped in the beautiful meadow! AngharadThe perfect pitch! We have had an amazing time at top of the woods. We were made to feel so welcome. The pitch was perfect and everything was so clean. There was plenty for us to do and the children absolutely loved the secret waterfall trail and the view of the stars at night is incredible. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much. | DipeshWonderful campsite in stunning surroundings! If you are looking for a campsite where you are surrounded by amazing views, can see the stars on a clear night (and we did!), technology and noise is far away, excellent and clean facilities, the tents are not on top of each other and very welcoming hosts, then make sure you pay Top of the Woods a visit. | NicWe only booked a short stay , but were not disappointed lovely welcome! Thoughtful tips and advice during check in. The location and facilities (we stayed in the lovely safari lodges) were outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed the barn breakfasts and the secret waterfall walk. Great for young families but we enjoyed it for the peace and tranquillity as an older couple as well. Will book a longer stay next time . |
SophieFriendly hosts with a relaxed approach, perfect for a relaxing getaway with stunning views over the valley. The pitches are spacious and felt more like wild camping. The food was great and especially the porridge, I don't think I've ever looked forward to having porridge so much. The location is great with lots to do near by, there's lots of walks or a short drive to great scenery, tourist attractions and beaches. It's a beautiful part of Wales and mainly unspoilt. | Paul MFriendly welcome from hosts. Well organised campsite. Communal campfire on sunny evenings. Sheltered area with good selection of games. Lovely walks through surrounding woodland. Beautiful views across Welsh hills. | James JThe campsite is very laid back, chilled out, child friendly, and allows you to be completely in-touch with nature and fending for yourself. Children loved having us parents to themselves with not much phone signal, no club house so you get back in touch with how things used to be. The walks were the highlight of our today stay especially the hidden waterfall. |
Katie MA beautiful view from our tent. Chose to stay in the middle pitch which had the sunrise which was amazing. My 5 children didn't want to leave. Jon and Soo were very welcoming and the homemade food and breakfast was gorgeous and worth every penny. It is a quite newly camping ground with big plans ahead. And all of us can't wait to book for the next time when it is all finished. Amazing views of all the fields, and the barn was beautiful, with plenty of games to keep the children occupied. | Carolina BA fantastically run, very friendly campsite where you have quick access to everything you need but without the feeling that you are being hovered over. You are free to pitch wherever suits you, and the fact that the site is on a hill and divided across three fields means that you will never feel overcrowded - we pretty much had our field to ourselves. Lovely hot showers, firewood that actually burns... little details that really make a difference. | Matt HFrom the very moment you pull into the field and see the most fabulous scenery, to get back to nature at its very best, you cannot want for a more perfect setting. Soo and John are more than welcoming and if you get the chance, partake in their BBQ evening, you will not be disappointed! |
Emma HThe camp site was breathtakingly beautiful, natural and peaceful. I liked that it wasn't perfectly mowed with set pitches you basically went into the meadow and chose where you wanted to pitch up. The owners were so relaxed and friendly it was as though we were staying with our own family, nothing was too much for them they just wanted to make our stay happy and relaxed - they achieved this. I love the fact that it's an eco-site and took us back to grass roots - total escapism. | Sarah DFantastic place to stay, the views were incredible. Lovely owners who made every effort to make your holiday perfect. Fantastic BBQs and beautiful walks. I would highly recommend this tranquil retreat. | EleanorWonderful place!! I stayed here with my friends for one week and we had a brilliant time. The campsite is very picturesque and peaceful and you wake up to stunning views. I would thoroughly recommend the food: home-cooked with delicious, locally sourced ingredients. The hosts are very accommodating, are knowledgeable of the area and can recommend great things to do for lots of different tastes. Eleanor (26th Jul 2014) |
