Payment
✓ A deposit of just 25% to secure your holiday dates

Top of the Woods reserves the right to cancel a camping or glamping holiday at short notice if we are unable to provide safe environment, due to extreme weather conditions, ill health, fire, pandemics, flooding or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. Under such circumstances, your full payment will be returned to you
*Top of the Woods is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, storms, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure").
Cancellation by You
✓ Up to 21 days before your holidays, we will refund your booking, minus:
* Your deposit
* Any 3rd party fees, including payment processing fees and commission charges from 3rd party sites such as Pitch Up or Cool Camping
✓ If your holiday was paid in full when booked, we will refund 75% minus 3rd party fees
✓ Deposits are non-refundable
✓ For cancellations within 21 days of your holiday there is no refund, unless you have taken a Top of the Woods Peace of Mind Guarantee

Cancellation in the Event of Covid-19 Infection
✓ You or a member of your party have a positive Covid-19 test
✓ You or a member of your party have to self-isolate due to contact with a Covid-19 sufferer
✓ You or a member of your party develop Covid-19 symptoms and are awaiting test results
If you have to cancel for the above reasons, then the ‘Cancellation by You' clause will apply.
It is advisable to take out your own travel insurance or the Top of the Woods Peace of Mind Guarantee
The Weather
Very strong winds and torrential rain can occur at any time of year. You must ensure that your tent is robust and pitched correctly. In some cases, we may ask you to move to another pitch.
Please note, we cannot provide a refund because the weather is not to your liking.
Extreme weather is covered in ‘Cancellations by Us’, which means in the unlikely event we have had to temporarily close due to extreme weather etc.
Group Bookings
We welcome group stays at Top of the Woods with the understanding that group guests respect the need for privacy and quiet by other guests at all times.
Please contact us in advance if you are booking as a group. We can make your stay special by sharing our knowledge of local of group activity providers and arrange private areas or adjoined pitches, but only with advanced notice and availability
Please be aware the ambience of the site is a peaceful nature-led site, not a party site.
Guest Check In & Check Out
✓ Check in is from 3.30pm – 8.30pm
✓ Check out is 11am on the day of your departure

Please leave your accommodation clean and tidy and recycle your rubbish
Site Rules
Cars/Vehicles
We are a vehicle free site at Top of the Woods, which means we do not have vehicles on any of our camping or glamping meadows, except the campervan pitch.

Car parking is in the parking area only

Wheelbarrows are provided to transport your luggage to your pitch.

If you have issues with mobility and you may need help to take your luggage to your pitch, please call ahead of your stay so we can arrange for a camp host to help you when you arrive.
Caravans/Motorhomes
We cannot take caravans or motorhomes and have no chemical toilet provision or electric hook ups
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome in all our glamping and camping accommodation. Each booking can have a maximum of 2 dogs per booking

Dogs must be kept under control and on leads AT ALL times whilst on site.

We reserve the right to terminate bookings of guests whose dogs are the subject of complaints or persistently cause disturbance.

For the wellbeing of other guests, dogs’ owners must clear up after their dogs. There are red bins across the site for bagged up dog waste.
Music
No amplified music is permitted on the campsite (unless you have exclusively hired the whole site, and this has been agreed in advance)
Noise and disturbance
Top of Woods is peaceful nature-led site and we ask you to be respectful of others with noise levels kept to a minimum after 9.30pm and before 8am

We reserve the right to cancel the remaining booking of a guests who have caused complaints or whose behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable by Top of the Woods. This includes, noisy and disruptive behaviour, wilful damage to the site or glamping accommodation, rudeness to our staff and guests

No refunds or compensation will be given in these instances and you will be asked to leave the site.

We reserve the right to claim compensation for damages or inconvenience caused.
Mobile Signal/Wifi
Mobile signal is at a rural level (i.e. unpredictable) so please come with that in mind. Wi-Fi is available in the reception area only; bandwidth is limited and shared between all guests.
Recycling rubbish

Recycling facilities are provided on site, including at your glamping accommodation.

Please recycle everything possible.

Guide notes are provided for the waste types at each of the bin stations
Outdoor cooking, campfires, and wood burners
At Top of the Woods we welcome campfires in suitable off-the-ground fire pits.

Firepits/BBQs are available to hire on site.

Sustainable kiln-dried wood is available to purchase onsite (which is also good to cook on!)

Disposable barbecues are not permitted as this is a sustainable site.

There is a communal campfire which can be shared by all
Wood burners - For your safety, the wood burning stoves provided with some of the glamping options can only use wood, coal or charcoal supplied by Top of the Woods
Please do not gather firewood from around the site. Fallen wood provides nature habitat, and damp or rotting wood burns smokily and is an annoyance to other guests.
Keeping Covid Safe on Site
Our team will be doing everything we can to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene around the site, but ultimately guests are responsible for their own hygiene and that of their dependants.
The considerate actions of guests will also impact on the safety of our team and our other guests.

Please be extra aware of your children's behaviour. Making friends and having fun is what holidays are for, but for guests' safety, families and groups will need to play within their own social bubbles or ensure children are adhering to 2 metre social distancing whilst playing

Ensure children are supervised when using communal facilities, including phone charging station and ice brick freezer. It is imperative that guests are not handling each other's belonging at this time.

Ensure your children do not play in or around the toilet and shower facilities. Games of 'hide & seek' in the toilet and shower cubicles would make it impossible for us to maintain necessary hygiene standards!

Ensure 2 metre social distancing around other guests, staff and when you are out and about

Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times in the cabins, on site and during activities. Please ensure that your children are supervised at all times.
Smoking & Vaping

Is not allowed in any of our glamping accommodation or in the Dutch Barn picnic area.

Please put cigarette butts in the bins provided.
