Recycling at Top of Woods
Recycling is second nature for our Top of the Woods guests and is an important part of manging our individual environmental impacts.
Each glamping accommodation have their own recycle station and across the site we have a number of customised recycle stations to separate and recycle your rubbish.

Courtyard Communal Firepit
We love campfires at Top of the Woods and in 2016 we built our communal firepit & woodland garden, using recycled stone on site from an old collapsed pig sty and an old discarded tractor wheel!
Campfires are laid on most weekend evenings, for our guests to get together and make new friends. Or come and listen to our storytellers campfire stories during the school holidays, popular with adults and kids alike!

Carfree Site - Wheel Barrows
Top of the Woods is a car free site, and the cars are parked in a separate field to the camping meadows. Wheelbarrows are available to take your luggage from the parking area to your pitch. and double up as kiddie taxis!
If you have issues with mobility and you need help to take your luggage to your pitch, please call ahead of your stay so we can arrange for a camp host to help you when you arrive.

Hammock Garden
When you are on holiday a bit of "hammock time" is a most, the hammock garden has 3 fabulous hammocks, which is next to The Dutch barn. Kick back and enjoy doing nothing before the kids get back from the beach!

Hide & Seek Willow Garden
Tuck yourself away in the Hide & Seek garden with a good book or a picnic. Or you can get yourself silly giddy running through the willow tunnels and green gazebo playing hide and seek and catch me if you can games!
Planted and designed by Michell Cain, willow artist (and me as her helper!)

New Guest Woodland
Our newly planted woodland has been created by us and our guests staying with us (we plant a tree for each booking made) or as part of the Top of the Woods tree sponsorship scheme.
We have planted over 3500 native Welsh trees to create a new habitat for wildlife – so enjoy and see what native trees species you can name and what wildlife you can spot.

The Practicalities....Wifi, Electricity, charge points
Freezer
There is a freezer available in the Dutch barn for camping & campervan guests to freeze their own ice blocks for their cool boxes. Glamping guest will be provided with ready frozen cool bricks from reception
Free wifi
There is limited bandwidth to share between all our guests, so please be considerate and don’t expect to stream iPlayer! The best signal is in reception and the courtyard but take the opportunity to switch off and enjoy your time off with family and friends!
Electricity and lighting around the site
Site lighting uses either low wattage LED or solar lights to keep light pollution low for wildlife (we have 7 of the 14 UK protected species of bats at Top of the Woods) and to for our guest to enjoy the spectacular night skies.
We do not have electric hook ups or plug sockets for hair dryers (we are about getting back to nature!), but we do offer some plug points for device charging, see below.
Mobile device charging points
Electronic devices can be charged in the Dutch barn picnic area. Devices are left at owner's risk.
