When Jon & I started Top of the Woods, we were committed to creating a business and lifestyle that was enriching and sustainable.
We both believe it is important to support the local economy and local skills as well as the environment, as this enriches the special place we live in.
We selected local providers that have the same principles as ourselves around animal welfare and food production. If we had to buy produce from further afield, we wanted to support Fair Trade, so at least our consumption did not disadvantage others.
Our passion led us to both protect nature and to enhance habitats, by creating additional bio-diversity for the local wildlife around us.
Acknowledging the work we have done so far and our ongoing environmental action plan, Top of the Woods is proud to have won the Green Key tourism award.
This means our guests can be assured that when they stay with us, our business is run on environmental and sustainable policies and your stay will help benefit both the natural environment and local economy.
